Do I have to have/can I make a reservation to use the indoor shooting range? No. The range is first come, first serve.
How old do you have to be to use the indoor shooting range? Per NYS law you must be 12 years old to shoot a gun.
Can I bring my own targets? Absolutely, as long as they can be stapled to cardboard. If you don't have your own, we have targets for sale for $1/ea.
Do I have to use your ammo on the range? Only if you are renting one of our firearms.
Do I have to have a "gun license" to shoot on your range? No. Long guns (shotguns and rifles) don't require a license in NYS. You just need to pass a Federal background check to buy a long gun. You only need a permit if you want to rent one of our handguns or own one yourself.
What CAN'T I shoot on your range? Steel core/armor piercing rounds such as mil-surp 7.62x54R or XM855 green tips, tracers, incendiary rounds, birdshot, buckshot, steel shot, or multiple projectiles of any kind, shotguns without a shoulder stock, firearms without some form of sights, handguns if you don't have a valid NYS permit.
Can I shoot my muzzleloader in the range? No. We would have to change the air filters too frequently if we allowed muzzleloaders.
Do you do LEO/Military discounts? Not at this time. However, we are a certified Glock "Blue Label" dealer.
Can I shoot a pistol without a permit? New York State law states that you MUST have a valid NEW YORK STATE pistol permit in order shoot handguns in NY.
What if I come to the range with someone that HAS a permit, but I do not? Can I shoot their handguns? No. New York State law states that you MUST have a valid NEW YORK STATE pistol permit in order shoot handguns in NY.
Can my son/daughter/niece/nephew/etc. shoot my handguns in the range? New York State law states that individuals between the age of 14 and 21 are allowed to fire a handgun ONLY while receiving formal instruction from an NRA certified pistol instructor.
If I'm from out of state and I have a permit in my home state, can I shoot a handgun in NY? No. New York State law states that you MUST have a valid NEW YORK STATE pistol permit in order shoot handguns in NY.
What are all the non-compliant guns I see on your wall and why can you have them but I can't? That is our "Wall of Freedom". We are allowed to own these in NY because we have an FFL, many are available for rent!
